Travel Guide to Curitiba

We are so excited to welcome you to Brazil! Whether it is your first time visiting or you have been before, here are a couple of tips from a fellow Curitibana to help guide your stay. Please be mindful that it takes a full-day trip to arrive in Curitiba (~approximately 12 hours~), so if you plan to attend all wedding events, we recommend you arrive by Thursday, March 5th, so you can have a full day of rest before the party starts.

As of 2025, Brazil now requires visas for American, Canadian, and Australian passport holders. The process for an e-visa is quick and easy through the online application portal. The average processing time is five business days and there is an $80 application fee. Please visit the official FAQ for more information.

Brazilian Visa Requirement

This airport gives you direct access to Curitiba, with a short 20 minute drive. When selecting your flight, you will likely have a layover in São Paulo (GRU) or Rio de Janeiro (GIG). Once you arrive in CWB, you can easily call an Uber to your accommodation.

March will be the end of Summer in Brazil — with temperatures ranging from 75ºF to 80ºF. We recommend packing light clothes, as the weather is humid, but make sure to include a light jacket or sweater as Curitiba is known for its change in climate.
